Working with a local property developer Cambs Glass designed, manufactured and installed 4 No rooflights to a domestic property located in Cambridge, all within a 4 week design and build programme from order placement to completion on site.
Our design team carried out a full site survey of the preformed timber upstands and worked with the client and their developer to achieve a modern structural glazed appearance. Two of the rooflights incorporated a bespoke perimeter frame detail to allow a notched detail over the coping flashing.
The largest rooflights measured 2,805mm x 1,310mm with the glass unit weighing in excess of 110KG. Cambs Glass Contracts team oversaw the whole process supplying the developer with general arrangement drawings for approval, plus Method Statements and Risk assessment for the manual installation of all elements. Following the completions of the works the rooflights where handed over to the developer with a full Operation and Maintenance Manual, containing As Built drawings, COSHH information and future maintenance requirements.
