Working closely with the Leading London interior fit out company Cambs Glass bespoke division was contracted to carry out the removal of an existing barrel vaulted polycarbonate canopy with a modern dual pitched glass version to both modernise the office block entrance and to improve the functionality of the space bellow.
Working out of hours thus allow the occupants full use of the main entrance during the day, Cambs Glass carried out the full survey of the existing main steelwork frame which was to be redecorated and reused. Our in house design team then carried out a full design utilising laminated safety glass and a modern pressure equalised patent glazing system.
The system was then fully manufactured in-house and polyester powder coated at our specialist partner. Our in-house installed team then carried out the installation of the canopy using mobile scaffold towers and specialist glass handling equipment. The installation works were conducted over a weekend thus allowing the main entrance to be maintained during the week and minimising the impact on there business.
The glass panels where supplied with the application of a Ritec low maintenance coating to the outer face, The Ritec Costing minimises the dirt retention of the surface thus maximising the time between regular maintenance.
